Bald Eagle

At the Connetquot River State Park today, I saw a bald eagle flying over the Main Pond. I couldn't resist taking a picture of it even though I knew it was too far away.  However, the photo is clear enough to prove that what I saw was an eagle.

Great Blue Heron

Yesterday I walked in the Connetquot River State Park. I met a couple of photographers who had their tripods and cameras set up at the Main Pond area. They informed me I had just missed seeing an eagle, but pointed out a great blue heron that was currently fishing at the pond. The heron is a regular and his name is Ozzie.  He seemed to be a bird who isn't bothered by paparazzi, so I took his picture too.
